Discovery Bible Club

Discovery Bible Clubs help enhance the spiritual growth of children by providing group fellowship, Bible Study and personal achievement. The Discovery Bible Club's meeting takes about ninety minutes. It is divided into three sessions.

  1. Club time, to help children develop life long habits of personal Bible study and Scripture memorization.
  2. Assembly time, to have Worship, Bible learning, and sing praises as a group, and to present certain awards to club members.
  3. Game time gives club members time to participate in activities. Learn that Christian Fellowship can be fun and develop Christ-like skills.

The discovery insignia is an empty gold-colored cross encircled by three oval-shaped lines. Each oval has a sphere at one point on it. The cross, with its oval and spheres, is placed in a square field of purple.

  • The gold color of the cross represents the infinite worth of Jesus, who died for the redemption of all.

  • The three-oval shaped lines represent the creation of God, from the smallest atom to the vast universe. Because of man's sin, the universe came under the influence of Satan. Because of Christ's sacrifice, the universe was redeemed from the control of Satan.

  • The three spheres represent the three aspects of man
    • Body
    • Mind
    • Spirit
The spheres revolve around the cross, indicating that all life depends upon Christ (Col. 1:14-20). The light emanating from the cross reminds us that Christ is the Light of the World.

  • The Discovery theme song is entitled "Discover the Way". Used in award assemblies and as an opening for Discovery meetings.
